Is it normal to feel paralyzed during a panic attack?
I was having a really stressful day, and when I laid down in bed, I started to get really anxious. I was hyperventilating, and then I sort of crashed. I felt blank, with no emotion, and I felt like I couldn't even move. I knew that I was physically capable of moving, but I didn't have the mental strength to move my limbs. It took all my energy to move my arms, and when I tried to move my legs, all they did was twitch. Eventually, I was able to stand after about 5 or 10 minutes (my time perception was a little off due to the stress, so that might not be accurate). Is this normal? Should I seek medical attention? This is the first time it's ever happened to me.
