Will i get laughing gas before my wisdom teeth operation?

Tomorrow I'm getting all 5 wisdom teeth removed (i have an extra), and I'm going to the hospital or something for it. They said i would be put under with an IV, but i can't stand needles, and the thought of having an IV in me makes me hyperventilate. Will the surgeon or whatever give me laughing gas before they knock me out so that I'm calm when i get the IV in me?
