Are there any east coast beaches where you can have a campfire?

My family and I would like to find somewhere to rent a little vacation cottage on the beach in an area where you're allowed to build a small fire on the beach. Anywhere from Atlantic City south to Myrtle Beach. Anyone know of any place? I'd appreciate town/area name and if anyone has any leads on small cottages that would be great too! Thanks!
