What?!?! Are the feelings dying?

Ok, so me and my boyfriend got together 5-20-11 and were going strong for about 2 almost 3 weeks, and then, he went to newyork for 3 days then Dominican republic for 7days, he's not back yet, he comes back the 15th. he called me the first 3 days from newyork, then he couldn't call me till saturday the 11th and he's been calling everyday since, but before he left we would say i love you, and be all cute, and everything, on the phone, but the past 3 days, we haven't been doing that or saying i love you, are the feelings changing from being separated? Or am i just over reacting? Is he just being shy and not all lovey cause his family is around, he did sound kinda tired when we talked.........he said that he loves me no matter what, and that nothing will ever change that.. but has it changed, and every day that he's called the calls have gotten shorter and shorter and shorter....Am i over reacting, or does he not feel the same anymore??
