Best place for a roadtrip in New England area?

About three of my friends and I are planning on going on a roadtrip in mid August. We live in Massachusetts and we're eighteen and seventeen, just graduated highschool. Everyone is going on senior roadtrips to Florida and such but since we only have a few hundred to use, we wanted to stay somewhere close. We were thinking about going to Atlantic City, NJ for a week. Any other good ideas for a four night stay? Please! (:
