Are other liberals glad to see NY Republicans crossing party lines to support gay marriage?

I think it shows just how strong this issue is. The trend for 40 years now has been towards more and more acceptance of the gay lifestyle, so Republicans in a relatively liberal state like NY can no longer pretend Gay Marriage is a bad thing. It only took a few Republicans to cross the line, but it's nice to see they weren't afraid of reprisals from their own party.
